The primary responsibilities for the position are
Performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, which could include oil change, tire rotations, battery installations, headlight and taillight installations, transmission work/flushes, air conditioner recharges, and front-end alignments
Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
Conducting diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues and make effective and accurate recommendations
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment.
Conducting necessary repairs and testing vehicles before handing them back to customers
Inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet provincial requirements for safety and emissions
Maintaining knowledge of current industry best practices
Maintaining paperwork and customer records
Ensuring equipment longevity
Maintaining a clean and safe workplace
